Photoshopped!

No, seriously, I`m not trying to be funny... I really think it`s photoshopped. When the images are over a black background, they are semi-transparent. Has to be photoshopped.
Coelacanthic: "Okay, I know that we`re not supposed to use words like "fake" or "photoshopped" or "oh my god, give me a break, that is so obviously photoshopped it`s painful." So I won`t. But damn."
smagboy1, i don`t usually comment on any website, but it`s really ignorant to say that the pictures are `obviously photoshopped` for multiple reasons.

http://www.2loop.com/3d_room_04.jpg

that picture alone is proof enough that it isn`t photoshopped. plus, who the hell would say "i think i`ll fake a bunch of pictures where paint on the walls meets up to look like a 3d shape! and i`ll even make fake pictures of what the rooms look like when you aren`t looking at them from the desired angle!"
Coelacanthic = RIGHT

i agree with shizzaster. these photo`s are very cool indeed and all the people who think they are fake are WRONG they are actually real but i am not saying that using a projector is the wrong theory. i`m also going to say to whoever it was who sais that the car park one was fake is that the different thickness and colour of lines is due to light and angle. i also love the curcle one a lot.

i love how 13-17 year olds seem to think they know everything.. 1 of the pics looks real whilest the others i could recreate on my comp within a minute.. yes theres are painters that paint things like that but u cant paint a open doorway or a window and the color remain the same, if you painted a window the color would be alot lighter due to the light shining through..

It involves a projector. Basically, you project the image where you want it, and paint over the image being projected (on the walls, floor, ceiling.. everywhere that the "colored light" is touching) After you are finished painting, stand in the exact spot the projector was positioned, with your eye level at the same height that the image was projected from, and then: “WOW, THIS MUST HAVE BEEN CREATED BY SUPER INTELLIGENT ALIENS, OR PERHAPS MY BODY HAS SOMEHOW BEEN SUCKED INTO A COMPUTER AND I AM WITNESSING A PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGE FIRSTHAND! THERE IS NO OTHER EXPLANATION FOR THIS MYSTERY! THE EARTH IS FLAT I TELL YOU! THE MOON LANDING WAS NOTHING BUT A HOAX! ODOYLE RULES!”

wolfinstinct- I am truly relieved to see that there are still intelligent individuals like you out there on this planet that is filled with so many ignorant thickheaded people who can’t even take a moment to contemplate something that is very unique and imaginative, since they’re endlessly fixed on rejecting anything new that they can’t comprehend at first sight. THIS IS NOT FAKE. As wolfinstinct correctly pointed out, there is actually a pretty simple way to do this.

Well if it is real, it must be really hard to paint a room like that |-X

Haha, now the people who are saying "fake" just want negative attention. Whatever...

I think this technique is really interesting. I`d love to see it in person instead of just through a photo sometime! Even something that looks simple in the photo at the right angle must have taken some time to figure out--especially ones like the last photo, where lines are painted on ceilings, poles and walls.

Wow.

I got an idea of how to do this. Take a projection of what you want, then project it where you want it. Paint the line/whatever that was projected.
That sounds pretty ez, I think I will do it to my room!

Jesus Christ! I explained that it was a technique called TROMPE L`OEIL.

You have to be extremely accurate when you plan it out, or it looks like poo.

I once saw on that looked like a smeared portrait, but when you got to the right spot, an angel popped out and looked at you. It`s all about precision. The people who do this are masters.

the one done in the car park is the only one i question, because the two photos show two kinda different coloured paint, and the lines look different widths. But i`m willing to believe it.

Pictures number 6 and 7, you can see a black security camera there on 6 which is painted about 50% (not necceserily a security camera, just like a small monitor) - which disappears on the 7th picture.

Targo, I think you are right... Hah! you must be right. Oooh I could use my laser of a skeleton to decorate my room! Or just an angel, just as fine

No, whomever thinks these are photoshopped are ignorant fools who haven`t researched this matter thoroughly.

This type of painting is called trompe l`oeil. Trompe l`oeil is a French term literally meaning "that which deceives the eye."

I`ve seen some trompe l`oeil paintings and they are some of the most amazing works of art ever. Just google it and you`ll see.

Hey Coelacanthic, I was not very clear. I don`t reckon the painted rooms were faked, but the effects they "supposedly" caused were, not doubt, faked (the "after" photos). I reckon they were actually the designs, done prior to the actual painting--the sort of "perfect world" shot. But they`re clearly photo shopped. I mean, c`mon?

this picture is what makes the argument for it being fake:

maybe im wrong, but it looks like the paint is hovering in midair in the doorway. thats impossible!
