I enjoyed the hell out of it! And, actually, there were American pirates, just like there were European Island and North African pirates, too (as well as many others). The Caribbean was nasty with `em back in the glory days of pirates. considering pirates(and some privateers) were the super-criminals of the day, they technically had no civilianship in any country. So if they weren`t American? Most lived in the americas.
