"You promised we could have butsecks tonight!"

"I did?"

"You`re not going back on your promise, are you?"

"Well...if you put it that way..."

She remembers the marathon and crying at the finishing line, is she making new memories?

If she lost her short-term memory, how could she know what the question was in order to answer it? I think they mean she has Anterograde Amnesia.

It is sort of sad that when the character in the film Memento claims he has no short-term memory, people don`t realize that the character is making an error since he can`t ever learn the name of his condition is Anterograde Amnesia.

Short-term memory is fine; she remembers the question that she is asked long enough to answer the question. Her problem is that she doesn`t store any new short-term memory into long-term memory.
