I`m conflicted...

I`m troubled by the idea that a human life can just be snuffed out for little reason...

I`m also troubled by the idea that women who have absolutely good reasons (eg.Rape) are also subjected to the same condemnation by protestors outside these clinics...

I noticed she repeated all the latest buzz words and catch phrases. Good for her, thinking can be so tiresome.

I`m late to the party. I guess the only logical thing to say about such matters is:

"Mind your own business."

By the way, since I haven`t actually commented on the post, I`m pro-choice and even I think there`s no excuse for this kind of crap. Not from pro-lifers, not from pro-choicers. It`s low class fro either side.

Too funny, turdburglar: "made up garbage...stupid vicariously" ---> Stupidly vicarious, note how the adverb describes the adjective. This grammar (not english) lesson brought to you by a `merican.

PS If the raging pro-baby killer wasn`t a buck toothed, fat, ugly, ignorant hog maybe she wouldn`t be so angry :D

@SmagBoy,
You`re absolutely right, and no insult taken. I live pretty close to New York City. High population area so, of course, more people wanting terminations at all levels of gestation.

@CreamK,
I think you`re probably correct.

@elkingo,
I see an awful lot of liberal bashing on this site. Some of your fellow consevatives actually force the issue by making a post political, when it was nothing of the sort, merely to bash liberals. So... 1) Too bad, get over it, and 2) I haven`t actually seen any comments on this post that constitute trash mouthing of Republicans.
So...what was the stupid point you were trying to make, again?

Fact: better sex education, access to birth control and rational attitudes not based on any religious ideologies will result in fewer unwanted pregnancies, specially among teens and far fewer abortions. So keep your abstinence, pro-life opinions in the closet where they belong. In the end, it`s about freedom to do to your body what you want. You give people that freedom along with education of facts and what to do you, people are not as stupid as you think or want them to be.

@broizfam, I`m guessing you live near or in a large city. That`s not a rip on you, obviously, just an assumption because those procedures really *are* (as you can see by the statistics) very rare and aren`t even available in vast swaths of the country (except, in some cases, specifically for the health of the mother).

As for me, I certainly believe that, after a certain point, abortions shouldn`t be legal except in case of health of the mother and/or fetus, but, at the same time, I don`t believe it`s a choice that I, as a male, should have a say in because I don`t believe the state should *ever* have the right to force a woman to gestate a fetus for even a single millisecond longer than she wants to. As such, I don`t believe it`s a voting choice that other women should have, either. Each woman, on this subject, IMHO, should be allowed to decide for herself. She has to live with her decisions, and I believe that`s her right.

You forgot that they`re also unwilling to see their taxes go up to support those kids. I don`t blame them for that part, really, since I`d love for my taxes to stop rising too, but it`s certainly a part of that same hypocrisy.

I`ll accept that. Didn`t know what you consider to be "extremely rare". I know of clinics that have from 1 to 3 a day out of a total of 30 to 40 patients. I don`t consider that rare, much less extremely so, just a low overall percentage. Of course, it`s even lower when you consider that many termination clinics never do them.

The irony (and obvious hypocrisy) to me is that those yelling the loudest about abortions and how they should be illegal are also those yelling the loudest about preventing BC in a healthcare plan, about not allowing fact-based sex education to be taught in schools (and instead want proven-ineffective abstinence-only BS to be taught), and are against adoption of babies by gay parents.

@broizfam, here are the statistics. In the US, about 1% of women, per year, have an abortion, and about 1% of that 1% are "late term". And almost all of *those* are due to extreme fetal abnormalities or the health of the mother (e.g. to prevent her death). So, yes, while some *do* occur, it is extremely, extremely rare, and, for the purpose of "just because", it`s almost non-existent.

@SmagBoy,
Actually, while I can`t quote percentages of abortions overall, there are a fair number of late term abortions being done. I know people who do them. Usually it`s due to fetal anomalies or the guy left and she has insufficient suuport without him. Unfortunately, there are still too many simply because the woman waited so long to decide.

@CrakrJak,
No. It is absolutely NOT legal to abort a baby at the time when it`s full term (except maybe in Kansas - I don`t understand Kansas). There may be a couple of people doing what you claim but it certainly isn`t legal, which is what you stated, and they`re arrested and charged with murder when they`re caught. Also, yes, there are at least some pro-lifers who say "never, under any circumstances" because whatever happens is God`s (their god`s) will and their god`s will must absolutely be imposed upon everyone.
There are nut jobs on both sides of this issue, no arguing that.

Oh, give me a break. The conservative idea (fantasy?) that late term abortions are happening in ANY significant way (as in, they are almost completely and entirely non-existent and essentially never occur) is such a willfully ignorant, backwards, reactionary lie that it`s not even worth the effort to disprove.

Just keep thinking it, though, zealots, and keep spouting anti personal rights, pro state-control laws over women`s bodies. Please do keep it up! It seems to be working out great for you.

Your colon must be full tonight Crakr, as evidenced from all the made up bullschitt you seem to be spewing.

Try a simple Google search and you will see that there have been 182 attacks against Family Planning Clinics in the last 24 years resulting in the deaths of 32 doctors, clinic workers, and innocent bystanders.

That`s hardly a "very few" you worthless piece of schitt!

Christian Fundamentalists are responsible for numerically far more terrorist attacks on American soil than all other groups combined.

turdburglar: They still do it, even though the PBA Act of 2007 prohibits them. What they do now is kill the fetus with lethal drugs, via intrauterine injection, just before delivery.

It`s still just as loathsome as the old way only it keeps them from getting prosecuted.

Absolute lie. Don`t spout made up garbage as truth, it makes your side sound stupid vicariously, and makes rational debate impossible.

Random: "...shooting doctors and blowing up clinics."

That`s happened only a very few times and those crimes were committed by mentally unstable people. Just like this chick in the video, mentally unstable.

Gymcoach:"Pro-life says NEVER under any circumstances.."

Actually no, pro-lifers don`t say that. There are a small percentage where the life of the mother is in peril and they need to have one.

But right now, in most states, it`s legal to abort a baby right up to the moment of birth. These partial birth abortions are completely unnecessary and a horrendous travesty.

Here is the bottom line, Pro life vs Pro choice. Pro choice does NOT necessarily advocate abortion. I am a conservative but I believe people should have a modicum of choice. Of course Abortion should not be used as a form of birth control but in certain circumstances Abortion is necessary and/or appropriate. Pro-life says NEVER under any circumstances and THAT is wrong.
