Steve Bannon Is Now The Second Most Powerful Man In America

Submitted by: thezigrat 1 month ago News & Politics

Steve Bannon, the Alt-Right proponent, and self-proclaimed National Socialist (a fancy name for a nazi) now holds more power than anyone in America, second only to Trump. As Trump downgraded the roles of the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the director of national intelligence, he gave Bannon a full seat on the "principals committee" of the National Security Council. The the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the director of national intelligence will now attend only when the council is considering issues in their direct areas of responsibilities.

In one weird fell swoop, he went from conservative blogger, to a political adviser, to status alongside the secretaries of state and defense, and over the president’s top military and intelligence advisers.

What does this mean in basic terms? The Guardian in the UK observes Trump's latest move as "consequence of incompetence," They write. "The predictable result of an under-qualified real estate mogul struggling to master the most powerful and demanding job on the planet."

So that's how England looks at you, America. w/b: fancylad

So the Land of the Free
and the Home of the Brave
Are your stars still so bright
 Does your banner still wave
Oh, the Land of the Free
and the Home of the Brave
 Are you heaven on Earth
or the gloom of the grave

You
The people of the United States
Did you form a perfect union
 Establish justice
 Ensure tranquility
 Secure the blessings of Liberty
 to yourselves and your posterity
 How blind can you get
 for your country
 right or wrong

America
 The melting pot

So the Land of the Free
and the Home of the Brave
Are your stars still so bright
 Does your banner still waves
Oh, the Land of the Free
and the Home of the Brave
 Are you heaven on Earth
or the gloom of the grave.

Looking at this picture I figured out why Trump's hands are so weird and small: Getting the hands right is the hardest part of creating a puppet.

I seem to remember that when the Trump first started running for POTUS he said he would represent the American Workers Party if not the Republicans. Isn't that what the American Nationalist party called themselves in the late 1930s. Didn't the National Socialist original name was The National Workers Party? coincidence? You decide.

thezigrat Golden Dawn in Greece, Marie Le Pen in France, Geert Wilders in the Netherlands, Nigel Farage in UK: it's not just USA. But now we know the true face of the beast and we've defeated it before. You are not alone. You have a judiciary and a Congress that has to protect your Constitution; make sure they do. And if they don't. well, midterms next year…!

Bannon now has the ability to claim that anyone he dislikes is a terrorist threat and like some insane magic trick they disappear into unlimited federal custody. Even scarier the Trump wants to expand Gitmo so it can include American citizens and hold them indefinitely with out charge or evidence

Liberals and lefties like me throw around the word 'fascist' a little too much, to denote anyone to the right of ourselves. That said, and meaning the word in its original and literal sense, even the most ardent Trump apologist will have to admit that America is now a hair's breadth away from a fascist government.

This is scary shit!  This is a FUCKING scary guy!  This guy does not like brown people and is paranoid they are out to get him!  He is more insane than Trump and Pence combined.  He has  demoted the director of national intelligence and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and bared them from certain meetings.  The Joint Chiefs of Staff and Director that have kept this country secretly safe for the past 8 years, the ones that caught big bad 0sama.  Yeah...this guy is scary.

This is a very scary situation,  A white supremacist Neo-Nazi now has a huge say in National and International security policy making and most likely use Trump to control the other members.
This is a Huge Fuck up to put it mildly, in a lengthening string of fucked up fascist Dictates that the Trump has made during HIS FIRST WEEK in office. 207 more weeks to go, maybe more. He is considering buying or bullying another term.

This is the slight of hand the phoney "extreme vetting" executive order was distracting everyone from. Putting politics, let alone extreme politics, into the Principals Committee is extremely dangerous for the country. I hope the democrats have big enough balls to go after this one with everything they have.

markust123 I hope so too... but why only democrats? Are the republicans that people put in office for so many years, yet bypassed so many of them to pick Trump as their candidate really that worthless to the political process?

markust123 What balls? The RNC's got them locked in a safe for atleast another couple years. They had all their cards down behind Hillary aswell, sure doesn't bode well that everyone hates her. The DNC got the whipping it deserved. The alternative was no better, but when you take the rhetoric as far as it was pre-election, and lose, you might have well just served up your testicles with a side dish
